Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility is operated by the San Diego County Sheriff's Office in Santee. The campus replaced the old Las Colinas facility, which had been built in 1967, used as a juvenile facility for part of its life, and converted into a women's facility in 1979. Las Colinas uses the county social visit rules plus facility scheduling limits. Reservations must be made in advance, and the research notes no same-day visits. A maximum of three visitors may attend, including children. Visitors 18 or older need valid identification. Las Colinas Booking and Reentry
